J.O.Y. CLASS

The J.O.Y. Class will begin the study “What’s So Amazing About Grace?” on Sunday, January 11. In this Christian classic, author Philip Yancey unpacks Grace, the core message that underlies the gospel. Using

stories and examples, Yancey helps us understand how truly amazing God’s grace is. He helps us explore our own hearts to see why we often resist this gift that seems “too good to be true”. And he shines a light on people around us who so desperately need the gift of our grace. Yancey writes, “I wanted to understand why the church seems to have lost this gift. Often the down-and-out, who flocked to Jesus, feel unwelcome among his followers. What happened? And most personally, what would it mean for us to truly understand, receive, and give the gift that God gives so generously to me and you?” Study Guides will be available for all at that time. In addition to the provided study guide, you may wish to get your own copy of the full book, "What’s So Amazing About Grace." We will be using the original 1997 edition for reference during the class.
